kusudama

i'm a closet origami enthusiast. as a kid i spent hours making all sorts of origami animals, boxes & flowers. i became quite an expert at it too thanks to my mother's gentle guidance. this is why i think i want to incorporate some origami elements to my wedding & these kusudama flowers would be perfect to add on to the cranes i'm now folding.

tutorial for the kusudama flowers here at folding tree with part II of turning them into balls here.

i'm still here

sorry for the bout of silence my lovelies. wedding plans have been put on hold for awhile but will soon be back on track. i scared myself silly today looking at this wedding planning checklist. jeez man, i'm waaaay behind schedule!

to calm my nerves a bit, i did a little wedding blog surfing & found this gem. it's the surprise wedding of eat chic drink's writer to her man. i love the details, the riot of colors & the element of surprise. would love to pull off something like this & give our friends & families a good (but hopefully happy) shock....
