as i have a major sweet tooth, i’m really digging this candy bar idea that’s been floating around in my head. my only concern is that the candy bar will be empty before dinner is served! hehe

i’ve been obsessing over cake toppers lately & these are a few of my favorites that i found at my happy place – etsy!
who would’ve thought that this katy perry song would be awesome for a wedding… a really whimsical wedding with a romantic twist that is. totally crushing on the rescues now.
here’s a custom backdrop made by ashley meaders for smilebooth. so whimsical & i love it!
looks like today is going to be all about stuff that inspire me from the inspired bride blog! i just HAD to share these cakes of ruffled goodness (along with a gadzillion of other stuff today!).
i just love this simple yet effective use of ribbons as decoration. i’d add lace to the mix too just cause i love lace… i predict a trip to the haberdashery later. (+)

i really like this color combo for our vintage inspired wedding. it’s the right mix of whimsy & sophistication (plus any color named “fruit punch” is a winner with me!).

i thought this DIY proposal was very well thought of & oh so sweet. “Chad took Vy, his bride to be to the movie theater where they had their first date. He wrote her a song accompanied by an incredibly sweet and hilarious music video. The video played as the trailer before the movie and we highly suggest you watch this. You will LOVE IT!” (via wedding chicks)
i have a thing for macarons. no doubt they’re the latest, trendy dessert in KL but i’ve always loved them ever since i had my first taste at laduree yonks ago. that being said, i’m sooooo happy that i can now easily get macarons locally which makes it easier to have my dream macaron tower or macaron croquembouche for the wedding instead of the traditional wedding cake!
the ones pictured above would be my favourite twist on the more traditional tower pictured below in the terrarium tablescape from project wedding.
i also like this very informal (and easy) set up below but i don’t think it’ll work for a wedding cake replacement.

i saw this on 100 layer cake & i knew instantly that this would be perfect for our 1950’s Malaya theme wedding reception invitations. we might be able to put in an actual CD that looks like a vinyl as a pre-wedding souvenir for our guests since i’ll probably make the invitations myself (with the help of my family & friends of course). 600 guests should equal to about 350 invitations right? eep.
anyway, i just love this idea :)
